Publication Ethics

Sainstifica is committed to publishing ethically sound and socially responsible research, in line with the guidelines provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and other respected publishing organizations. We expect authors, reviewers, and editors to adhere to these ethical standards to ensure that the publication process remains transparent, fair, and unbiased.

  1. Originality and Plagiarism:
All submissions must be original works that have not been previously published elsewhere. Any instances of plagiarism or self-plagiarism will result in immediate rejection of the manuscript. Authors must appropriately cite all references and acknowledge the work of others to avoid any form of academic misconduct.

  2. Conflict of Interest:
Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could be perceived as influencing their work or decisions. This includes financial interests, personal relationships, or any other affiliations that may compromise objectivity. Disclosures should be included in the manuscript and updated regularly.

  3. Ethical Approval for Research Involving Humans or Animals:
For research involving human participants or animal subjects, authors must obtain the necessary ethical approvals from relevant regulatory bodies or institutional review boards (IRBs). The ethical approval number and the name of the approving institution must be included in the manuscript. Additionally, authors must adhere to the principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki for research involving human participants and the relevant guidelines for animal research.

  4. Copyright and Plagiarism:
Authors must ensure that their work does not infringe upon any existing copyright or intellectual property. If the work contains third-party content (such as images, figures, or datasets), the author must have the proper permissions to use and publish these materials. All third-party content must be properly credited.

  5. Redundant Publication and Multiple Submissions:
Manuscripts submitted to Sainstifica must be entirely new and should not have been previously published, nor should they be under consideration by any other journal at the time of submission. If any part of the manuscript has been previously published, this should be clearly disclosed to the editorial board, and appropriate citation must be provided.

  6. Corrections and Retractions:
Authors are expected to cooperate with the journal in addressing any post-publication errors or concerns. If any significant errors or inaccuracies are identified after publication, authors must submit a correction or erratum. In cases of scientific misconduct or if the work is found to be fraudulent, the paper may be retracted. The integrity of published research must be maintained.

  7. Human Rights and Dignity:
Authors are expected to ensure that their work respects the rights, dignity, and privacy of human participants. Personal information and confidential data must not be disclosed without consent. All studies involving human participants should comply with applicable national and international regulations for privacy and confidentiality.

  8. Ethical Publishing in Open Access:
Sainstifica promotes open-access publishing, enabling broad dissemination of knowledge. We adhere to ethical standards regarding accessibility and transparency of research findings. Authors must ensure that their work is published in compliance with open access policies, where their research is freely available to readers worldwide.

  9. Reviewer and Editor Ethics:
Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts impartially and based on their scientific merit. Any conflicts of interest should be disclosed, and manuscripts should not be used for personal gain. Editors must make publication decisions based on the scientific content of the manuscripts, free from bias, and ensure that all contributors adhere to ethical publishing practices.
